Two vacations in two weeks.
So, a month later I am writing about these trips. I know I should have done it sooner, and the trips have lost their freshness, though they are now fond memories.
THE ADIRONDACKS (July 17-22)
Our agenda went as such:
Sunday: Driving up to camp and then upon arrival being drug around (in sheer terror) all day on the tube.
Monday: A lounging day around camp.
Tuesday: A quick hike up Black Bear Mountain, and then a trip to the ice cream stand where I gladly enjoyed some vegan lemon sorbet.
Wednesday: WATER SAFARI and a kayak excursion that lead to us almost sinking one of the boats, finding a hidden lean-to and scaring our family to death.
Thursday: Clogging a toilet, doing some plumbing and The ADK Museum, then hiking back to the lean-to only to find two fat guys hanging out there.
Friday: Packing up for the trip home and some light touristy shopping.
I love these annual trips with my dad and step-mom's family to the ADK, we always have a blast.

MAINE: (July 30 -August 2)
In their first-ever trip to Maine I ventured with my aunt, uncle and cousin to meet my dad and see some of the classic sights. We went to Portland, they had typical family argument, a boat ride and what I believe a wonderful time.
